America's Beach Bum also imparts knowledge about money. Without proper financial enlightenment it becomes difficult to remain on the path of the beach bum. Having money allows the beach bum to travel to other beaches and enjoy what different beaches offer.

While an impressionable youth Surfin' Sid and his circle of close friends created an group known as the Booze Brothers. Each member of this association was given a new name and were sent forth into a world ripe with greed and deceit. Many members of this fun loving group were lost [both spirituality and physically] and have never been heard from again.
Fortunately Surfin' Sid learned of a wise guru and learned much from his teachings. This teacher was the Guru Banana. Surfin' Sid applied the teachings of the Guru Banana to his own life and during meditation had an epiphany. This epiphany was to live life as you want to live it. Don't rely on others to give you the life you want and not to get caught up in the religion of material things.
Upon reflecting on this sudden intuitive leap of understanding, Surfin' Sid decided that he would follow his passion and live the simple life of a beach bum. The first step that Surfin' Sid took was to evaluate his financial situation. He decided that he could eliminate his dreams of fancy cars and luxury yachts. Slowly he amassed a nice sized nest egg by reducing his spending and following a plan of seeking out income alternatives.
The next step in becoming a beach bum was to create a network of wealthy friends. This network of friends allows Surfin' Sid to enjoy the beach without purchasing an expensive ocean front home.
